From mine, and others own magical and overflowing gardens, from walking in the wilds, to rescuing the offcuts from a design florists floor…I often found that I collected and arranged my findings into posies, flatlays and collages. Foraged, seasonal, local, endless combinations, forming new relationships, always changing.
A Florist’s Choice bouquet is one that relies on the hands and eyes of the flower-smith to combine the colours and textures of the seasonal and the local. And by that very nature is always one-of-a-kind.
The same often happened on the jewellery studio design bench. The existing and new, made and remade elements, re-combined and re-edited, and the one-of-a-kind ‘florist’s choice’ necklace came into being, and now complemented with long earrings and layered rings. They have become a significant and inclusive part of the design collections.
