New jewellery work on the bench… I wanted to design and make something that could take me from day to dinner/party… a long chain/pendant for summer… for me…!
just clean and modern to go with a black or white vest, leather belt, maxi skirt and silver thong sandals… a more grown up, classy urban boho vibe. Looking at motifs from vintage wallpaper, soft geometric patterns, Japanese lacquer objects, Elizabeth Blackadder prints and Prada flowers, even! Based on a series of templates that can stack in a range of metals, they may even end up being ‘dip dyed’ (partially oxidised silver) and some embossed copper with repeat patterns and some brass with a scratchy, distressed satin finish. Paper prototypes tested… cutting metal today… I’m having fun!
